Sitting behind an historic adobe wall dating back to 1827 at the top of the famous Alvarado Street is the Cooper Molera 2.5 acre estate. Behind the adobe walls are beautiful old redwood barns, historic gardens, a museum, and a gift store, all which are about to undergo renovations and some re-purposing that will revitalize this area with a blend of romance and history unlike any other special events venue in the Monterey area.
Infused with a rustic elegance of a bygone era combined with the ease and vibrancy of being in the heart of downtown Monterey, The Barns Event Center is destined to become a favorite location for private special occasions, such as weddings and corporate events, as well as festive public “happenings” including performing arts, music and other forms of cultural events. Current projection for opening is the 3rd Quarter of 2018.
